Herringbone suit cut

Just a question about Herringbone suits in Sydney/Brisbane. I've noticed that the trousers are a very slim cut. I'm not slim by anyone's standards (but not fat either) and also with size 12 feet. Do they make suits there for the larger sized men with more room in the trousers?

Go to the WAYWT thread and look for username Phat Guido - he almost wears Herringbone exclusively now. Ethandesu on the forums is also the Herringbone tailor in Sydney - and by all accounts a very good one and decent bloke to boot.

Alternatively, you could go try their suits on - assuming your username is linked to your location.

I think that "Ethandesu" would be the best person to ask - as has been said, he is the Herringbone tailor in Sydney and he typically works out of the Herringbone suit store upstairs in the Queen Victoria Building.

Herringbone has a few different cuts, including the "Osaka" cut which Styleforum member and frequent poster in the "What are you wearing right now" thread Phat Guido tends to wear.

The Osaka cut seems to be the slimmest, with the other cuts being a little bit more generous but still reasonably slim. The Osaka cut also has very lightly padded shoulders.

If you are in Brisbane, Melissa in the Queens Plaza store (well, the only Herringbone store in Brisbane) is a lovely person and is very helpful.
As has been said, if you're in Sydney, you really can't do any better than talk to Ethan as he is not only extremely knowledgeable about the Herringbone range (naturally), he is also very knowledgeable about tailoring in general and he can tell you what is best for your build and how it might be adjusted to fit you best.

DAMN, are they handmade?
That is outrageously affordable.
Do they ever ship out of AU?
Do they have RTW?
Would it be possible to have a MTM suit done from USA to there?

I wish we had this store in NYC or that intl online orders could be placed. I really like the grey and tan windowpane suits that PG wears.

Prices start at about AUD$995 and go up to AUD$1595.

If I remember correctly, the "Osaka" cut suits that PG wears tend to go for between $1395 to $1595, from memory, and they are made in Japan. I must admit that I don't know if there is much, or any, handwork on them but they are very nice suits - lightly canvassed, lightly padded shoulders, lovely slanted breast pocket, 3-to-2 roll to the lapel - an attractive cut.

Herringbone does sometimes have a 25% off or 30% off sale in-store.
They did have an on-line store for shirts, but not for suits. However, the on-line store is currently not on-line.
