This could only be a good thing for Van Laak. There's better brand equity in The Herringbone name, plus free exposure through this forum most of which is entirely positive.

For the benefit of Australian members:

I was in my local Herringbone store after work and they had just received a delivery of a new range of men's suits, the first since Van Laack took over the business.

From memory, there were four new suits - a mid-grey Ortona-weave (similar to the mid-blue Ortona weave on the Osaka block that they did last year); an interesting mid-grey glen plaid suit, the jacket of which had patch pockets (also on the Osaka block); a blue pinstripe and a grey pinstripe. I think that the latter two suits are on the Milano block, but I could be mistaken.

Interestingly, the mid-grey Ortona weave can be purchased as separates and the price was only AU$995 for both the jacket and trousers, quite a discount over the price of the mid-blue Ortona weave.

All of the suits looked nice. If only they would make waistcoats, too, I would be in heaven!
