I have the same boot, I have to say I think they are superb. A great winter item.

I'm putting the Langdale on my wish list for next winter.
I've already bought two pairs of Loake boots in the past three months so can't justify another purchase just yet. (To my wife anyway).

Thanks SF (a new me)

Langdale has been on my hit list for quite some time. I already have the Grassmere, it's long wing/blucher cousin. While the styles are entirely different, I cannot decide between Langdale or Trickers Stow in Acorn..

For someone who takes the Allen Edmund last 5 in 7.5D. Which size would you suggest for the Herring 175 or 4436 lasts?

Anyone have the Shakespeare II in brown suede? I'm seriously thinking about picking up a pair on the sale, my size is still available and for £130 GBP they seem to be pretty good value.

According to the sales rep I talked to they're made by John Spencer in Spain. Does anyone know how the 619 last compares to Loake Capital/026 or Carmina Rain/Simpson?

As far as I know, discount codes don't work with any sale products.

Just got a pair of Loakes (Kempton) boots from Herring. I was very impressed with the overall experience. I ordered them last Fri (4/24) and they were delivered to my workplace here in Southern California on Tues 4/28.

In the box were the boots, black polish, and a shoe horn.

UPDATE: I ordered a pair of Loake Pimlico chukkas as well as a pair of Alfred Sargent Armfields. Again, very fast service from Herring Shoes. I ordered the shoes on May 1 and received them yesterday (May 8). However, unlike the first shipment, I was charged duties on the second shipment. I am not complaining (at all) as Herring Shoes very clearly states that the purchaser is responsible for any duties owed and I am glad to pay them. Given what happened with the first shipment, I was just surprised.
