and I just bought a pair thanks to the 20% off, and also didn't seem to charge me shipping!
Good stuff . That 'shoe wheel' of yours is going to grow exponentially.
even though I said this before, I think this will cap it....
When I just went to use the code, it gave me the discount but did you note:
Code applied : 20% off full-price for seconds requests
Does that mean the shoes are seconds? Unclear to me.
From the Austalian members thread, the order went through as normal. And I will wait and see for my order.
Any real difference in the Herring Charles II and AS Armfield, other than sole?
The heel is lower, part of the different sole, probably a lesser grade leather, but workmanship on the upper looks similar.
fellow member Kayhill got his shoes, perfect firsts, so all good, now even more eagerly waiting for my pair.
This is what the email said:
"We noticed that you requested a shoe from our sale or seconds area but we have not had the shoes to match your request.
To try and help you find a suitable pair of shoes at a special price we would like to give you a 20% discount code that you can use against any full price shoe purchase during the month of August."
See post above
Yup, happy to report that the shoes were in mint condition.
I've done a quick review of the shoe with a couple of pics thrown in: http://greedanddisgust.blogspot.com.au/
Nice quick review! Oxblood is one of my favourite colours. Did you get a shoe horn and a tin of burgundy wax along with it? Shoe trees?
Thanks! I got the shoe horn and the burgundy wax, but no shoe trees.
I ordered some from Exquisite Trimmings a couple of weeks ago - hoping they arrive any day now.
Herring 1966 has lasted shoe trees you can purchase for 75 pounds.
