Alot of you guys must be making more many than Hermes if you guys know so much about customer service and Hermes CS is so bad. I like the snooty factor of Hermes store. You have to be cocky and have some money for Hermes, not be some tie exchanging ass dude. Maybe they would have done that for you if you had a good relationship with your S.A.
Its for people with $$$$ They dont cater to you and it makes all you Tj maxx and costco ***** mad

Hermes doesnt discount merchandise, or have sales, as far as I know. So the argument that you need a reciept makes no sense. A luxury store needs to go the extra mile. The customer may be a pauper now (not saying the OP is) but one day, who knows. You cant make assumptions about people. You have to be really arrogant to tell someone that cant exchange something, especially when there are MANY 'regulars' that do just that. A refund is a different story but if all the man wanted was a different tie, then give him a different ******* tie.
