Heritage 1981 (Men's Forever 21)

I am looking to get a flannel shirt without spending too much. While looking around, I saw one on Heritage 1981. It is made in the US and I was thinking of trying it. Does anyone have any experience with the quality of this brand?

Quality is perhaps the worst money can buy.

(sans fashion snobbiness here.. this is really one of the shittiest brands ever.)

Thanks for the tip. Might have to check out Old Navy or Target. A flannel is not something I want to spend a lot of money on.

Old Navy and Target are also ****** in terms of quality. Why do you not wnat to spend much on the flannel? Are you using it for layering purposes or is your budget just low?

Just trying to keep the budget low. For some reason, and I really can't explain, it's not something I want to spend a lot of money on.

I've got no problem with my $10-15 (depending on when I bought them) Mossimo flannels.

I understand the quality argument - but just because a more expensive item is better in some way, that doesn't mean the cheaper item is bad. I'm perfectly happy to treat my $25 Dickies Eisenhower jackets as disposable. If one survives winter, great. If it doesn't, I'll buy another next year.

The Target flannel won't last me a lifetime - but the cut is perfectly acceptable for Americana/workwear, and it'll certainly last one cold season. Probably more.

Most people expect a better quality of a more expensive item but that's not always the case, in fact, a lot of times it's not the case, with clothes, watches (rolex), etc. By the way there is still stuff "made in the US"?

It's not exactly the quality that I don't like with the cheaper clothes, its the fit. Most lower end clothes fit pretty badly. I would need to get them tailored to look nice. I shop at h&m even though its low end because the slim fit on the shirts are the best I can find in that price range.

Thanks to those who advised me on this. I actually found a very cool flannel for $25 yesterday at Urban Outfitters. It is a Dockers Urban collection one. While Dockers isn't the coolest brand, I do like the idea of reconditioning/refurbishing used materials into a new garment. Have to try to be environmentally conscious when you can, and I know it is better material than Old Navy.

uniqlo really needs to start opening more stores in the US..I'm pretty sure they could do pretty well in alot of other places.
