I hope this hasn't been covered recently; didn't find anything on a search.

My job involves working out of town, up north, in a camp for about a month at a time and then getting anywhere from 2 - 6 weeks off. I make good money while I'm working and I like to travel around during my time off. For the last year, I've pretty much been living out of a suitcase either in camp, out of town, at my Mom's place or wherever else. At this point in my life, I don't really have many possessions that are important for how I'm living. I basically need to bring my clothes, laptop, music and camera and a few other things around with me.

In this situation, I'm wondering what everyone would pack with them for clothes. I carry a backpack and a suitcase around so I have a decent amount of room but not unlimited obviously.

What's the laundry situation? That would be a big factor for me.

Laundry situation isn't too bad. If I'm in whatever town, it's easy, on the road, it's not quite as easy because I have to goto laundry place to have it done.

I've always wanted to do some 50's door to door salesman look, and just have one suit with an extra change of socks and boxers. It would be awesome, but I'd probably give up after half a week. What kind of work do you do? In reality I would probably just have some shirts and jeans, just because I don't want anything that would require ironing on the road. I don't even know if they have car adaptors for irons :/

Synthetic underwear is your friend. Keep two pair. Wash one at night and wear the other while it's drying.

It depends on where I'm going obviously but this is what I have right now for the most part:

Adidas Sambas
Birkenstock sandals (I know, I know but I can walk for days in them no problem)

Earnest Sewn Fultons in dark blue
Hugo Boss linen pants in grey
slim cargo shorts

light grey cashmere hoodie
dark grey cashmere crewneck (fairly light weight)
navy cashmere vneck (light weight as well)

white linen and blue linen shirt tailored to be worn untucked
textured white dress shirt
several short and long sleeve tshirts from American Apparel
a few thermal undershirts from American Apparel
a henley shirt
a RL polo

That's pretty much what I bring around with me. I'd like to change a few things still so I can look a bit nicer but I don't want to bring much more bulk with me.

I want to add a pair of boots I think and I also need a jacket of some kind.

Any suggestions?
