Since 2022 I’ve been seeing a consistent move towards wider lapels as of recently piti uomo fashion week I’m seeing them look like airplane wings.

Does it make sense to buy blazers with standard lapels size 3.5” etc.

I will stick with classic half way to shoulder rule of thumb. Which can mean a 4" lapel for some, but nothing wrong with going wider than 1/2.

The pendulum of FASHION tends to move to the extremes but a STYLISH man will:
1. Not be ‘swayed’ by the vaguaries and randomness of fashion and choose a width that works for him
2. Stay away from extremes of lapel width, gorge height, shirt collar length, trouser rise, leg width etc, lest he might one day look back on his indiscretions and feel like a buffoon.
