So they just arrived from the « American Village » in Okinawa…
My new Lee Riders Japan…
They are from a different lot (200) than my previous ones (101z). The legs seem a tad wider.

As a point of comparison, here they are side by side with my oldest Lee Riders Japan.

Just checked the Lee Archives: the lot 101 is « Regular straight »,
The lot 200 is « Full-cut straight ».

Absolutely. I don’t see much difference with the others when I wear them. And I like their vibe. I noticed they have the 1959 model design (7 belt loops), while my other ones have the 1952 design (5 belt loops).
They're badass for sure.

How is the rise, can’t see…
It is a pretty good rise. Here side by side the Lee Riders Japan, lot 101z and the (recently acquired) Lee Riders Japan lot 200.
Both are of the same size. Maybe the 101z shrinked a little as I already washed it a couple of time (but Lees are sanforized, so the shrinkage is minimum)

As you can see, the rise of the 200 is a tad higher than on the 101.
Other notable differences are the number of belt loops, and the legs, wider on the 200.

Found some chinos from a brand I never heard before called Blkwd, made in Los Angeles, California. They have a modern cut and a rigid lightweight denim feel. Had to postpone my Uniqlo trip til my wife gets a weekend off, but I was happy to find these ones locally for $40. I tried to take pic but they didn't represent reality, so here's their website, https://blkwd.co/.

They look pretty good, but apparently they are all 65% polyester/35% cotton ? For me it is more like sta-prest material, Chinos should be 100% cotton don’t you think ?

I saw that on the website. The ones I got were 98% cotton. All my other chinos are mostly if not all cotton though.
