Help with Superdry Sizing (Brad Jacket)

Hello, I am purchasing a Superdry Brad Leather Jacket and was told by the salesman on the phone to purchase an XXL. I am 6'2 (188cm) and weigh 174lb. I am pretty slender (40 inch chest) and am unsure what to think. I cannot try it on due to the fact I will be ordering it internationally. He said these jackets run small and I should size up if I want to wear it over a jumper/hoodie.

Does anyone out there have any experience/ information they can provide?

FWIW, Superdry's website says XL for 40" chest and XXL for 42" chest
