Hi, my friend is looking for a suit to buy in Toronto. He is a 42 L, caucasian with blonde hair. He has about a $1500 Can budget. Any good ideas? This is supposed to be somewhat business like. I suggested a black and purple pinstripe, but could not suggest any designers.

Well, I don't know anything about shopping in Toronto, but I can say that black with purple pinstripes it not very businesslike. Better to stick with blues and greys, in solids or subtle patterns if you want a business suit.

Oh, sweetheart. Save the purple stripes for a tie or a pocket square and get yourself on down to Harry Rosen. They'll set you up. Better yet, get the helloutof dodge for a few days' jaunt to Montreal. The shopping's better, as is the culture.
