help with new grenadine tie

being here for a little bit i think its now time for a grenadine tie or two or three..

what is a good color to start with, should i go solid, stripe, dot..

i know kent wang sells them, any other good places to get a nice one

most of my suits are grey or blue

Sam Hober makes some fine ties (although I don't own any of the grenadines). My grenadines are Turnbull and Asser. Two vintage from ebay and one purchased from them directly. http://store.turnbullandasser.co.uk/Ties/Grenadine Mountain and Sackett also appear to have two grenadine ties for sale. Sam Hober has some great ones.

Chipp2/Winston Tailors has a number of colors at a pretty good price ($42 plus shipping) but you need to call them and they don't have any pictures posted. I emailed them awhile back, colors are: Navy, Black, Forest Green, Burgundy, Yellow, Grey, Aubergine, Brown/rust.

Charles Tyrwhitt has royal blue and silver available right now for around $70, but I don't know anything about their quality.

Hober and Charles Tyrwhitt have a different type of grenadine than Winston, which has a finer weave. I have never seen the larger weave grenadine that Kent Wang has at a better price. I have Hober's midnight grenadine and there is no tie more versatile than that.
