Help with Autumn daytime dress question, please

Alright Fashionistos! I am in a bit of a jam. In an amazing display of idiocy, many of my dress clothes were mis-packed and I am in northern Italy with plenty of clothes to wear...except what I need! I am well aware that I can trundle down to the store and buy new things, but am waiting to receive my own clothes instead.

OK, to the problem. I have a day time lunch following my nephew's cresima (confirmation). Can expect some well-heeled people, though it is not a millionaire jet set crowd or I would not be there! Autumn and daytime and not formal/semi-formal (but, dressy, yes). I am a little taller than average (6'1/1.85 meters) and am slim, athletic build (175 lbs/79.3 kg) and late 30's.

I have a camel color, two button sport coat (the warmer color camel as opposed to a cooler one) with brown buttons. I was thinking of pairing it with a cream color cashmere turtleneck and cognac/mahogany/caramel brown (a little lighter than my avatar) shoes and belt. Cannot figure out what trousers to go with other than dark brown (maybe a subtle pattern or pinstripe) so need help on that.

Second thing is how to "fun" it up. I was thinking of a cream tartan print scarf in dark and light brown stripes with a hint of maroon stripes. It is autumn after all. But I am wide open on suggestions here, too.

So, the jacket and shoes are the constant. The variables are the rest, so please, I need help here! Bear in mind, I am in northern Italy, not St Louis, MO or Indianapolis, IN so I do not have to be too conservative or phobic.

Thanks a lot in advance!
