help...What kind of tie to buy for this shirt/jacket?

    i just bought this shirt to go with my navy suit, im having trouble picking a good tie. what color/pattern style would be best?

    I've moved your thread to the new Menswear Advice Forum, where you'll get more useful advice and where other members with similar questions can benefit from your having asked. Whether or not GBR was joking, we aren't having any of that here. Billy, that's not really a shirt that works well with a suit and tie. It's best suited for casual use. For suit shirting, stick to the basics (solids, university stripes, microcheck) and you'll have a much easier time pairing ties.

    If it helps billy, try to go for a tie that is not as dark as the blazer and not as light as the shirt :)

    I would pick a different shirt for that suit. It's a nice shirt but it is not appropriate with a suit.
