Help: Quality form and function

I'm a southerner heading to manhattan that wants to do some shopping. My main concern is to find some key items that have high form and function that I can use to dress up and down and take some miles. I don't like to shop online so I'm looking for locations to find:

Key items I'm thinking about are

A pair of brown boots top contender is a pair of redwing Beckmann/ gentleman travelers

A pair of mid level raw denim or good quality denim jeans in a slim Not skinny cut 30waist 34+ length around 200$ maybe

Quality Brown leather jacket no frill, that will be cut well for a tall slim guy. 6ft skinny

So I'm looking for suggestions on stores and brands with high marks in form and function. Willing to spend the cash as long as it's made to last and I'm not paying for a label.

What are your must have wardrobe items?

I'm looking for locations in Manhattan to look for these three items where I won't be paying just for the look.

I may have bitten off a lot for this thread but bottom line what are those staple items that you would want to buy if with high stress on looking good and lasting long, what are these stores?

Normally only have **** malls.
