I just got this blazer from Old Navy and with discounts and giftcard it only cost me $10. I figured if nothing can be done i could return it or donate to the Salvation Army. I was wondering if you guys out there think i can alter it and if i can alter it, how would you do it? The good thing is that I think the shoulders fit and feel natural so i dont think i need to fix that area. Hope you guys can help.http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=moy8w&s=7

First off, only button the top button.

As for alterations, the sleeves will have to be shortened, and the body of the jacket needs to be taken in. Well, not needs, but it would look better to my aesthetic. If you like the sack suit look, leave it. Both alterations should be fairly cheap.

But whatever you do, get the sleeves done.

Thanks for your reply. I knew the sleeves need to be shortened and the jacket taken in or tapered. I knew the guys on SF would be able to help me pinpoint areas where i could be altered.

Yes sleeves and waist... Although this will probably run you around $40-60 to do both at most tailors.

Thanks for the replies. The shoulders fall where they do and feel natural there and im not to worried about that. It only cost $10 bucks so i dont expect it to even come close to MTM or Bespoke fit. I figured I would just wear it casually if i can make it work good enough or someone at the Salvation Army will have a nice jacket, if I cant.
