Help...No generic answers please

Alright, so I'm 6 foot 5 and I weigh 210 pounds. I absolutely can not not find clothes that fit. This has been a problem for me since I was 16 and I'm tired of just settling for clothes that end up in some drawer or a box after a couple of weeks. Most of the shirts I buy make me look like a blimp. They're too short and way to wide. Most of the jeans I buy I end up having to sag just so they don't look like high waters. I've spent so much money buying good quality clothes only for them to collect dust. I realize now it's not the quality of the clothes, but the fit that makes you look good. Are there any designer clothes that cater to very tall men or online stores that custom make clothes? I'm not looking for the generic stores like bigandtall, jcpenny, and so on. Their clothes are horrible. All they sell are those ****** plaid shirts and sweaters that you see on some wooden tablesome store with 20 different variations of the same shirt. The style of looking for is more urban or modern. Are there any stores out there for men of my body type? Thanks for any help you can offer. P.S. I don't mind paying up to 200-400 dollars for god fitting clothing. I would rather have 1 decent shirt than 10 ****** shirts.

Well, sure I've had clothes that fit ok. I'm looking for clothing that is well fitted. I don't mind bringing clothes to the tailors If I need to. The problem is finding clothes that are long enough.

Wide isn't a problem. Tailors can sort that out. Short is an issue. What are you defining as short? My rule of thumb is if you can touch your shoes with your legs straight without it popping outta your pants you're in the clear.

If you're looking at a budget of over 125-150 per shirt, just go bespoke.

I don't see how an alterations tailor solves his problem. You can't add extra length to a shirt or a pair of pants.

With a shirt, even if the length is right, I'd be willing to wager other key measurements are off as well, such as shoulders and chest. No sense in spending $100 in tailoring on top of the shirt cost, when there are lower cost alternatives that will fit much better.

I see your problem. Most of the "slim fit" shirts out there that would fit you widthwise tend to be shorter than the normal size shirts. MTM might be the best bet.

Otherwise, there actually are places that cater to tall people, usually called "Big and Tall".

I'm about your height but a bit heavier so I share your pain. Shirts become one wear and once washed, you're prepared for gym. I've had to Costanza many a shirt, sweater, etc.

The good news is, at least for suits if you order a long (most come at least 26-27" sleeve), there will be enough material to get you to a 28" sleeve length and while you may have to forgo cuffs on the pants, you'll get the desired length there, too.

Hey, we are roughly the same weight / height. I have LONG legs and long arms for my height too, which makes things hard to shop for.

It might be blasphemy, BUT, if Maxwell Clothiers visits your city, they are ok for shirts at CAD60 a pop. Quality / Fabric choice leaves something to be desired, but I find if I purchase shirts every quarter I am good.

For jeans, only brand that fits me is Lucky Brand jeans. I have tried several other manufacturers with a labeled 36”inseam and they aren’t long enough.

Suits, as its been mentioned, should come unhemmed, in L and XL - even brooks has L and XL suits at about CAD700-900 each.

I am stil struggling with sizing and clothes, but there is still hope for you man. I feel for the guys on my bball team that are taller than me. Imagine trying to outfit yourself at 6’10 or taller.
