I'm going to Milan and Napoli (2-3 Milan and 3-4 days Napoli) as a short honey moon (the real one will be in Bora Bora next summer) and I need advice for places to visit (sartorially) mostly in Napoli although any Milano places are also welcome.

I've seen the various threads but most are old. I intent to visit cappeli, marinella and cacciopoli but what other tie and shirt places do you propose? Any chance I could get bespoke shirts done in 3-4 days?

On a final slightly different note, have any of you tried the michelin starred restaurants in Milano or Napoli?

Would recommend paying Rubinacci and Finamore a visit as well. Rubinacci is at Via Chiaia 149 and Finamore is just around the corner from the Marinella store.

Speaking of Marinella, make sure that you get to see the Marinella showroom (upstairs) as well when you are there.

Rubinacci is no longer located at Via Gaetano Filangieri?

I'm going to Naples in October as well, so any replies to this thread would be useful for me too

I remember reading about a Neapolitan tie maker called Giorgio in another thread, but no idea on their actual selection and quality.

For Milan you should check the following men's stores
- Al Bazar
- M. Bardelli
- Neglia Sartoria

I cannot comment on the Michelin Star Restaurants, but I can recommend this place: http://www.nerinodieci.it/

Also, be aware that right now some stores or restaurants in Milan may be closed due to vacation time.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
