Yes I'm not photogenic and I need to shave but can anyone provide a pic or something for a hair style I should shoot for? Also, this may not exactly be the correct subforum for this but someone on the WAYWT thread said I needed new glasses. What's wrong with the Nike frames and what new ones should I get? Last question, anyone know of the "best" acne treatment that isn't proactiv (tried and failed)? Thanks. EDIT: Haircut decided on, other two questions I would still appreciate an answer on.

It all depends on your budget. Retin A, but you'll need a Dr's prescription. http://acne.about.com/od/acnetreatments/a/retina.htm You don't want tinted lenses. It makes everyone look creepy. Seriously. The frames aren't bad, but the lenses are not good. Look at the Adidas or the Hilfiger frames http://ca.askmen.com/fashion/trends_...yeglasses.html Jai Kudos are cheap and good: http://eyeglasses.go-optic.com/store...s.asp?id=20027 Or these: http://www.bestbuyeyeglasses.com/rep...er/280309.html If you're on a journey of self improvement, you need to organize your living space. This will create a great feeling of peace and calmness in your body. It'll make you happier - much, much happier. What's on that bookshelf/rack in the right side of the picture? Throw stuff out. Don't think about it. Toss it.

Are transitions lenses in general bad then? Or just the ones that have a permanent tint? My budget isn't too limited, does that change your recommendation for glasses?
I realize I need to do that I just keep getting too busy or too lazy for it. But thanks that is excellent advice.

I'd go for a long crewcut - see how you like it shorter. If you diet and loose some weight, it may help slim your face down. I get fat in my face when I'm putting on extra weight. Everyone is different in this respect.

As for acne, if benzoyl peroxide (which is proactive) doesn't work for you. Try any salycic acid wash. Almost every fash wash company makes one. Alternatively, try benzoyl peroxide on the acne.org regimen. You can order their stuff, which is a gel application, and works better in my opinion. Harsh on the skin, though. Prepare to use good moisturizer.

I understand the convenience, but the problem with Transitions is that they never completely clear when you go inside, which leaves you with a look that's 70s lounge singer creepy. Have a look:

And read this blog posting: http://ramblingsbynicole.blogspot.co...ansitions.html You're changing your style, I would assume you want to be more approachable. You're on a journey to change yourself, one of the rewards will be that you'll be attractive to the ladies, and girls hate hate hate creepiness. Also O/T, but if you want to lose weight quite easily, read "Fit For Life" by Harvey Diamond. You will lose the pounds. http://www.amazon.com/Fit-Life-Harve...uckduckgo-d-20 It's really great that you're doing things to improve your life. Be determined. And reward yourself when you've reached a goal. You're going to find yourself in a much happier place. Be your own best friend. Take care of you.

My dad wears them and hates them. The problem is they turn into sunglasses no matter how sunny it is. He goes out to get the mail, and boom, he's suddenly wearing shades. Which is fine for those times when he wants to wear shades. Basically he looks like he's wearing sunglasses all the time. I think he takes them off when he walks outside, which kind of defeats the purpose of wearing glasses.

As for the glasses, they look kind of cheap, and aren't particularly flattering. It's hard to recommend better ones, though. I'd think about getting some plastic frames.

As for your hair, it looks a bit limp. Like a mop. Either go to a salon and try for a cut that has some more texture, or gut the sides short and leave the top maybe a little bit shorter.

I already got a long buzzcut for the hair and I think I look much much better and so do my friends. As for extra weight goes, I'm all of 5'11" 170 pounds so I'm not concerned with being overweight. If anything I'm underweight and if my back wasn't so screwed up I would be lifting heavy to put on more muscle (I dirty bulk when I can because I'm not overly concerned with the extra fat). Good point about the glasses, I always just thought of the versatility aspect (which I find nice), not the way I looked in them. Can you recommend one of the pairs in this thread http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=226770 that are under $100? Thanks for the help fellas.

I will post a new pic soon. Do you like the vintage USS Optics (last pair) from the thread I listed? I read that round glasses are best for a square face.

Yeah, they're very cool but can you pull it off? You'd have to try it on because it'll either look great or horrible on you.

For the acne stuff what are you doing? I used to have a lot of acne in high school until I realized what washing your face twice a day and drinking a gallon of water a day can do for your skin.
