Hey guys,

I have a sort of business casual event tomorrow and I'm looking for a pair of chinos that fit well, look good, and I can wear whenever.

I'm picking between Banana Republic and J. Crew. I'm willing to spend up to $70 and I live in NYC. Anyone have any suggestions or more stores to take a look at? I don't have much time and I have to get the pants by 11:30 tomorrow so I don't really have time to shop around.

Thanks a ton! I owe you guys.

If you need them that quickly, just go to BR or J Crew given they usually have all the sizes for different waists/lengths. I wouldn't get boot cut chinos for biz casual event though. They are too casual and the boot cut leg opening looks terrible with nice shoes imo. Better to go with their dress chinos or even the Dawson/Gavin BR chinos. If you had planned ahead, you could have gotten a pair of incotex from edmorel or chorse for essentially the same price - no comparison in quality, fit...

Pants with a tapered leg look far better if you want something special.

I love my BR dress chinos. They cost 88 bucks though. One of the few things I have ever paid full price for at BR. Good luck on the clearance rack.
