So, at the risk of sounding redundant, I am currently in the process of ordering a tuxedo from Indochino and will of course follow up with pictures to see how they did. I purchased the $320 deal for a suit(tux/shirt/tie combo. Unfortunately, the only black bow-tie they have is a pre-tied one, so I plan to purchase my bow-tie elsewhere. I still get a free tie, so I was hoping you guys could help me select one (for use other than my tuxedo, obviously).

Their selection seems a bit meager, but I was looking at these two (I think probably because I'm not always too keen on solid color ties):

Are these inherently too ugly or anything? I wish I could get a closer look at the "crest" on the blue one (actually as I type this I just realized it has an "IC" on the crest, which makes me less interested....)

The rest are all solid color ties or square-bottom (for lack of knowledge of the proper term) knit ties and I don't like the square style.

Don't like either of those or the red and blue stripe personally. The knits are way better. Have you tried them before?

I like the fabric/patterns on the knits better, but I really hate the square-bottom tie look and would have no use for it, unfortunately.

I definitely wouldn't wear the first one, and probably wouldn't wear the second either...

Good news! Inodchino just released a new "Deco Collection including suits/vests/shirts and, yes, ties.

Quite a few new wool ties (not square) in glen plaid, grey herringbone, etc. They still look a little "skinny" but hopefully they aren't overly so in reality.

    Thoughts?

Those look much nicer. I'd go with the glen plaid.
