i like the length of barbour coats but i'm afraid they might not work in my tropical climes. i like having a place to put my hands in when it's cold/ raining. anyways i was thinking of his cotton touch beaufort jacket. i just skimmed the website and i'm not particularly knowledgeable on their whole line of jackets although i do know my size in them. anything else i should be looking at?

I'm not sure Barbour is the best choice for tropical climes, being designed for colder climates. How cold does it get in your part of the world? For rain I would recommend something like a mackintosh or trench. If you are set on a Barbour, do not get anything in waxed cotton, the tropical heat will cause the wax to melt.
