Between these two models which one would be the most versatile? Which ones would crease the lease? (I'm assuming the captoes but I'd like to hear from people with experience with the budapests) Which color to get them in? (I'm trying to get them in as similar a shade as the westons that are in my avatar) I like the look of the budapest oxfords better but only by a little bit. Any thoughts or suggestions?

We can't see either image unfortunately because they're linked to Image Shack which SF can't do anymore.

Same situation here. My solution was to buy a pair of nice boots for her for damage control.

I've already done something of the sort.
A Proezna Schouler dress and a couple of
tops from CH.

Neither color looks "better", I have the Budapest Oxford on the u last in antique cognac and the Old English boot on the u last in oxblood, both colors are spectacular. If you don't have any shades of brown in your closet, the antique cognac on either model is a gorgeous color, goes with just about anything, even jeans. If however you need an oxblood, I would get it on the Old English. Regardless of your choice, you can't go wrong with any of your options, and will love either color.

Does anyone have a preference for bordeaux over oxblood, or vice versa, for color?

The other way around. Why? More versatile. Black may be even more versatile. Not sure about the creasing.

Can't really go wrong with either one though.

This may be a telltale sign; maybe now is the time to get out before it's too late..
