Hi guys,

My wife recently bought me a pair of a.testoni Derby during her most recent trip in Europe (she couldn't resist the 80% off....). I have never worn white dress shoes before and I am calling on your opinion on how to best match this white Derby with some of the jackets/trousers/suits that I have in my closest. If it were you, which combination would you go for?

1) with the red trousers and black jacquard blazer
2) with the beige trousers
3) with the light grey double breasted cotton suit
4) with a pair of light blue denim (casual look)
4) find something else...In this case, what do you suggest?

Thanks guys

To be honest I think the shoes have to go, and I can't see how they can pair successfully with any of the clothes you've included / any other clothes.

I would agree, they were doubtless marked down because others could see how dreadful they are. They don't match the clothes you mention and they will rapidly look filthy. Lose one on a fire when your wife is next out, that might appear to have been an accident.

The shoes have a sporting flare, so I would recommend styling them as though you were off to play a round of golf. From the trousers you listed, I'd go for the red, but I wouldn't pair them with a blazer; instead, go for a nice polo shirt.
