Help me ID these shoes

Hi I have a pair of black brooks brothers wingtips and was wondering who the makers of the shoe were. They say made in England exclusively for Brooks Brothers. On the side, it also has the letters 975 and
8 1/2 (shoe size)

In addition, there is 1 row of nails in the heel. I don't have a camera right now, but I found this in an older post (compliments of nerdykarim). They look similar to these which are Cheaney, however, I was not aware that cheaneys ever made brooks brother shoes.

The heel nail pattern could be C&J. The giveaway is usually the writing within the shoe any chance you could post a picture of it?

i've looked and looked, but the only writing I could find were the number 975 on the side. I'll take pics later today after lunch.
