help me find a very simple and cheap breifcase/messanger bag

I'm looking for fairly cheap, simple (not bulky), leather briefcase with both a handle and a shoulder strap.

Bumping and monitoring this thread because I am in search of the same thing.

I too am searching for a simple, clean looking briefcase or satchel or messenger bag. You can tell my problem is that I don't even know what the proper terminology is to start a good search. Help.

Most people I know with Jack Spade bags speak very highly of them.
Search around for some Kenneth Cole Reaction bags. They retail for a little less than $100 and are quite good for the price.

I would get consider getting that jack spade one, but I think it's just a tad too fat (5.5&quot for what I'm looking for. Not looking for a brief case for work, but something nice for going out to the coffee shop and meetings.
