I recently picked up a Brioni sport coat in this blue herringbone linen/wool/silk blend on Mr. Porter. It was marked XS, so I thought it had a chance at fitting me (I only realized that they actually provide measurements on the site after-the-fact), but when I received it, I was dismayed that it was cut more like a big 36 or 38. At any rate, I really liked the jacket, so I'm having my tailor make me something similar. The closest fabric I could find was this Scabal mohair/linen/silk blend. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a comparable cloth? Thanks!

P.S. This is sold-out on Mr. Porter, but if someone wants it, and you're close to a 36, be on the lookout at MRP, as I'm sending this back tomorrow.

Ariston, Giacche book from Summer 2012 cloth # A786/14, wool, linen and silk

There is a lighter shade and a darker shade of blue on either side of the sample.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
