Help me find a great boot

Hi friends,

I'm a complete novice concerning quality American made boots. I've researched Wolverine 1000 miles, whites semi dress, redwing beckmans, Alden's and chippewas. My budget is at max $250. My preference is a pair of factory second wolverine 1000 mile plain toe, size 10 in brown. Can you guys help me find a quality American made boot that can be worn everyday and meets the general style that I've outlined?

From what I've seen, they run $474. I don't necessarily have my mind made up, I'm open to other styles of boot.

Im in the market for a pair of boots as well. The 1000 mile boots are my favorite from the pictures I have seen, but I just can't afford them. I have been looking at frye boots. Haberdash has some decent prices on Red Wing boots right now. Beckmans at 249 and the 2962 (Beckman with Iron Ranger sole) at 219.

Thank you guys for the great links. Unfortunately, I'm closer to a 9.5 and these deals are for 10.5-11. The best price I've found for the Red Wings Beckman's are from Revolve Clothing @ $230 w/ the 30% discount for new customers. Arg, back to searching...

I too am looking on Revolve Clothing for boots. You must be comparing the 1000 miles to the Red Wings as well. Do you think the Red Wings Beckman's look a little bulkier in the toe? Just curious, are you going to try to wear these boots casually? I would like to, but I don't want people thinking I am wearing my "work boots" everywhere.
