im in the mood for a pair of shoes, dont need either one any more than the other.

one is a zegna couture the other is the C&J edgeware (i can get them for around the same price)
anyone have any suggestions i would like to get some input before i pull the trigger

as an aside what are the main distinctions between C&J handgrade and mainline and is it worth the money? if so i might concider the rosemoor also pictured below.

Pair 2 would be my choice for the styling though I prefer the colour of pair 3.
If you can do it, get both.

The ones in the middle, no brainer.

C&J handgrade is better leather and covered channeled soles.

2 or 3. Prefer the styling of 3 but the colour of 2.

Loaded Question. Of course #2.

Without any doubt the second one. The first one I don't particularly like because of its wedge-like toe shape and the slightly odd holes around the mouth. Number three is not quite as nice style wise as number two and the colour probably not as versatile - although that might not be a relevant criterium for you.

In terms of longevity - not really. In terms of style - not as long as your not walking across peoples faces or on glass ceilings where everyone can see the open channel. But even then only a minority of geeks like us here would have any thoughts about it, and not necessarily negative ones either.
