Help me decide on a shell wingtip

I'm looking to get a wingtip blucher and need a little help figuring out what my options are. I've been trying to find a brick and mortar store that can get in either the AE MacNeil or Alden Long Wing, but my options are limited to Nordstrom and they don't carry narrow sizes.

The AE #5 last (park ave, cambridge, etc...) fits me better than any other due to my narrow heels. I am worried the AE #7 and Alden Barrie will be too wide, since I have read they are roomy. Anybody have any suggestions - perhaps in other brands - for a foot like mine? I could always go with the Cambridge, but I was hoping to get a blucher... These are not intended to be worn with suits, but rather more casually. Thanks.

How about the Polo/C&J Darltons?

Personally, I can't get a good fit on the Alden Barrie last.

You can try the BB Black Fleece longwing. They are $400. They are mdae on the Grant last which fits me much better than the Barrie. Only available in black.

Yes and many sizes are sold out now. I do not even see them listed on BB site anymore.

I have a pair I am about to list for sale if anyone is listed. New in box. $400 plus shipping. size 9D.

Why are you selling yours? Just curious.

I also recommend the RL Darltons as well as the Black Fleece.

I'd rather go for some sort of Brown or Burgundy color, but those do look very nice. I wear a 9.5 C in AEs... so close but not quite.

Let us know what you get and how it works out. I also have quite a narrow heel in relation to my forefoot.
Have you considered ordering a couple of different sizes from a place like the Shoemart, and then sending back the one (or both) that doesn't fit? They've got the Aldens in C widths, but not the AE's; you could also order the AE's directly from the company, in both B and C widths, and they run about $50 less than the Aldens.

This is actually my normal method, but it can be quite frustrating. My problem is that I have to "compromise" between my feet. The ball of my right foot is slightly wider, in addition to it being overall slightly shorter. Alot of the time I order C and B, only to find that the heel is too loose in the C and the B is too tight in the ball/toes of my right foot. C'est la vie...

Good God, does Thom Brown put a locker loop on everything he designs?

AnGeLiCbOrIs, interesting point. I have the Alden Longwing on the Barrie last. Could you comment on the fit Grant vs. Barrie. Do you wear the same size etc. ? Thanks.
