I can't decide if the 42R or 40R fits me better. In the dark navy blue is the 42R and grey is 40R. Any critics would be greatly appreciated! I'm thinking about the dark navy blue one. Would dark brown shoes with this color or is it too dark? Any tailoring tips would be great too!

Thanks everyone!

greatlyappreciated.

I think the navy blue (42 Regular) would fit you better. People who are between 5'8" to 5'11" are consider to be "Regular". You got to have the suit tailored and fit to your body. Also, I think a white or light blue or blue striped dress shirt with spread collar would suit you best, no french cuffs, just regular button cuffs. Go with a dark navy necktie or repp stripe necktie to match the navy suit. Which necktie knot do you prefer to wear? The traditional four-in-hand knot or the dressy half-windsor knot?

Plus are trousers pleated or flat-front? My prefer choice would be flat-front because it's modern and stylish. Pleats are too 1980s, period.
That's my advice you dig!

The large suit was poorly tailored but some fabric was removed. The grey suit has not been tailored at all. Thanks for the feedback!

The navy suit looks better at least in my view.

It looks like both jackets jut out at the hips in a bad way. The flap pockets there are part of the problem. The navy trousers appear tapered, which amplifies that.
