Help Me Choose a Dress Boot

I am looking to buy a dress boot, something to wear with tweeds and flannels. I have the C&J cordovan chukka, and am looking for something different. Maybe a wingtip? I am a size 13 D U.S. and very impatient so Alden is out. Ron Rider doesn't appear to have any of this size in stock. C&J Coniston looks nice. I like the look of the Tricker's boots, but hear tell that they are really clunky and heavy. Not exactly what I'm after.

Any thoughts would be most appreciated.

No love at all? A bump for desperation.

There are a couple of captoe boots on sale at Brooks Bros. right now which might be of interest.

Grapevinehill has some nice AE wingtip bals and bluchers for about $150 - I just picked up a pair a few days ago. You just missed a 20% off sale though.

If you don't want too chunky and are looking for a wingtip, may I throw in a suggestion for a brogue or austerity brogue boot by Vass? That way, you can order exactly what you'd like. Here are my austerity brogue boots for example.

Very, very nice boot. What's the model name and where can it be purchased?

Thank you, gentlemen. I think I'm going with the Alden shell cordovan captoe in #8. Grant last.

I don't know if I like you or not Greg, but when I think "austerity" I think of you. Well done

It's made to order by Vass so it doesn't really have a model name - this is the way I spec'd them when I ordered them: Theresianer Boots on the U last, size 44.5, in Oxblood boxcalf, austerity wingtips instead of the captoe, no broguing at all, with a beveled contrasting waist

Everyone likes me! Thanks sir. Are you a size 11.5 or 12 by any chance? (wink wink see below)
