Picked up this jacket at my local OFA. I'm not sure if I am happy with the fit and am seeking the opinions of the SF. Please note that the jacket does have working buttons on the sleeves. Therefore, sleeve length is of particular import.

I'm also looking for any useful advice on how any tailoring could improve the fit. For instance, if one were to think that the jacket is pulling to much in the back, how much (if at all) could the jacket be let out at the sides to help alleviate the issue.

A few facts:

Jacket is 100% wool, 2B, side vents, patch pockets (lower pockets only, not the breast pocket). Also note, since I may return it, I did not undo the stitching that holds the vents closed.

Thanks in advance.

Jacket is just too small and too short for you. Period.

Sleeve too short, how much you can lengthen depends on how much fabric is left. Same thing with the waist. Is the jacket lined? If not, you can clearly and easily see how much leftover fabric is present. My gut feeling is that you won't have enough; you need at lease two inches around waist.

And although people here have a ridicous affinity for the small shoulder, the shoulder on your jacket is way too small and there is no way you can fix that. Notice how your upper arms are bulging out.

BTW, where in Cleveland did you get that jacket? (Nevermind, I figure out OFA is OFF Fifth. You must have gotten it at the Aurora store then.)

I'll be interested to buy it off of you if it's the right size. Please PM me with info if you are interested. I'm serious.

Definitely too small in shoulders/waist and sleeves far too short (wouldn't necessarily say the overall length is too short). I'm pretty sure those issues will not be fixable, you're better off returning it.

Thanks for the feedback, everybody. I thought that it is too small, but I really liked the pattern and was hoping against reality.
