Help - Manhattan tailor recommendations (can my Italian MTM be salvaged)?

Hello,

I am new to this forum and I thought the experts here might have some advice. I was in Florence a few weeks ago and I ordered a MTM blazer from a local tailor there (highly recommended by friends). They took my measurements, pinned up a model blazer, I picked out the fabric and the lining, and I crossed my fingers. I received it yesterday and while the fabric is beautiful it is about 5 sizes too big. This is my first experience with MTM and I am very very disappointed (but I guess I can't be too surprised given that there was no second fitting). I contacted them, and they offered to pay for any additional tailoring needed.
Here are my questions to the experts:
1) Is that offer sufficient or should I ask for a partial refund as well? The blazer was in the 700 EUR range. I feel ripped off.
2) Any recommendations for a tailor in Manhattan who could fix this? I'm not sure I would trust my corner tailor.

Thanks in advance!

Wait...you went MTM with no fittings???
They won't be able to adjust/tailor correctly(5 sizes too big) without you being back in Florence....
You were not ripped off.....you didn't do your due diligence...have at LEAST 2-3 fittings...

I would ask(beg) for a full refund....
