Hi guys

So I bought my self a new suit during xmas and now I need a tie for it. Since I usually wear the eldredge knot, and to match the colour of the suit and shirts I'll wear with it, I opted in for a pale satin pink tie. One I make my mind up I end up obsessed. And here's my dilemma... there's nothing to be bought!

I checked preety much every place in the area [dublin] and there was only one place [j.m. lewin] that had what I was looking for, but the tie was too short for the knot.

The exact tie I'm looking for is pretty much this:

http://www.paulsmith.co.uk/uk-en/shop/mens/accessories/ties/men-s-pink-narrow-silk-tie.html

I just cannot afford to pay ~140euros to get a tie, so if anyone knows a place where I can get EXACTLY this, I'd really appreciate it.

Okay, you want a pale pink satin tie. And it shouldn't be too short for the knot you prefer. And you don't want to pay 140 euros for it.

I don't know what shopping's like around Dublin, but I do know that a few seconds searching online turned up MANY pale pink neckties. I mean, they're practically everywhere.

Most of them cost far less than 140 euros. Many are satin. Many are pale. Most are in normal lengths, but some are available in longer lengths. And I'm 100% positive that a fair percentage of these retailers would ship to you.

So, what's the problem?

Nothing about the above sounds very appealing.

@Michael - Problem is that alot of them are not pale enough or come with a different weave. I did find some places in UK that would have what I need at the price I can bear with, but they don't deliver outside of UK.

@Veremund - why is it not appealing?

If you want that "EXACT" tie then you must pay the €140, if you cannot then you must do without. You might find many similar ties, but not the "EXACT" one.

The Eldridge itself is overdone. It's absurd.
In my experience, the unusual attracts more attention than the traditional and contemporary. I have worn the eldridge knot as well as many others and have gotten positive feedback as opposed to wearing some regular knot that no one acknowledges.

It's your goal to have others acknowledge your knot?
I invest a lot into my appearance. I think it would be nice to have some positive feedback for my effort. It isn't a priority, but it is something I consider. If I didn't care about that, I wouldn't be here.

@EliodA C'mon man. I was trying to eat breakfast.

@pine tree You need to rethink that decision. That knot is awful.
