Help identifying Polo shoe maker

I won these on eBay last summer and wore them twice, I think (they might be for sale in the near future due to that). I'm curious about who made them. Thanks for your help!

Wow, those are terrible. I'm thinking C&J but you might want to check the heel nail pattern thread stickied on this forum.

The double-row of nails on the heel screams AS. Can you take a picture of the writing on the inside liner, that also helps in identification. Lastly, do you know how old these are? Were they ancient unworn/dead-stock/NOS when you got them?

Nail patterns have been known to change over time, so if the shoe is say 15-20 years old, the nail pattern could be misleading using current patterns as a guide.

I bought them lightly used, so I don't know how old they are. I can't find any markings on the inside of the shoe, which is bizarre. Not even a size marking.

How odd indeed. Well, with only the nail pattern to go on, I'd guess Alfred Sargent; although this is the first I've heard of them making shoes for Polo.
