Help Identifying a Bespoke Blazer Please!

I found a couple of interesting things at the thrift store yesterday and was looking for help about them. One was a bespoke dress shirt size 17 made from Joseph D'Appolito & Son in New Jersey. Anyone know anything about their quality and reputation?

The main thing I am asking about is a bespoke blazer I picked up as well. It is definitely vintage since it was made in December of 1972! It is in amazing condition and looks virtually new.

The inside label says, "Tailored by Canterbury, Ltd."

Inside the pocket it has the following information, including the person for whom it was made:

"Canterbury, Ltd.
36 Pleasant St., Watertown, Mass.

Mr. Bob Malone
Date: 12/72

("and other information including size (42) and codes apparently recognizable by them)

Here are some pics if it will help.

Bob Malone, where are you?!!!!! Please tell me more about this amazing vintage blazer. It really is unique and I love the lining (lions in alternating squares).

Any help or info on this? I tried google and found nothing. I guess they are out of business?

I'd love to solve this mystery and if anyone is interested, please let me know.

Too bad he's best remembered for his taste in pocket flaps.

Fortunately the jacket doesn't fit me, cause if he's dead, I'm not gonna wear it.

Why the aversion to dead people's clothing. I'm fine as long as I can't find any evidence he died in them

You mean you don't have a navy blazer with western style flaps?

George Bush should look into it...he can wear it in Kennebunkport AND Crawford.

I don't suppose you've heard of the Malone Curse.

Just one tip: If the doorbell rings, DON'T ANSWER IT.

Hey, this post popped up on Google and I just created an account only so I could tell you that I LOVE D'Appolito & Son. It's in my town, and my brother and dad go there all the time, and my mom and I do too because they carry some great women's apparel (more recent). The store has great quality stuff, and you just got an amazing deal to have found that blazer for such a cheap price! Thought you should know...
