Dear Folks:

I have two Harrison James suits that I will soon sell.

Harrison James was a short-lived superluxury clothing store in midtown, near the Museum of Modern Art. Prices were sky-high. I went to the closing sale around '99. Even with prices slashed, I couldn't afford anything.

Now, I have two D/B suits, each labeled 52. Measure will be a US 42 or 40.

The labelling is slightly different.

The first is a tan birdseye. Any inner label has been removed, so this is all I have:

The second is a navy blue super something, and is a higher grade, labeled 'alta sartoria.' Note the red lining on the ** label.

Any help appreciated.

I have Harrison James stuff made by Isaia and by St Andrews, but neither maker has mfgr's tags like those, AFAIK. The second one looks familiar though ... Corneliani, or Canali, or somebody like that?

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

The tag looks a bit like some MTM stuff I used to get at BG at about that time. All I was told is that factory was on Capri (of all places), but I never identified who it was. A friend told me he thought it was La Vera, but I was never able to confirm that.
