Help ID these Levis? (1947 501)

Hi all, if there is an existing Levis thread where I should post this instead please let me know. I searched and did not find one.

I recently came across these Levi's and am trying to get some info on them

They are different from other 1947 501s I have seen. These have a different leather tag, and there is only this one handwritten tag on the inside (no other tags/branding on the inside).

Has anyone seen jeans like these before? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Thanks for your input. Yeah, sample pair would make sense. Had not thought of that.
