Hey,

This is my first post here, and so I hope this is in the write section of the forums. I need some help forming a winter wardrobe and was wondering if you guys could help me out. I'm a kinda short guy, around 5'2ish and average build. I'm also a university student. I was hoping you guys could help me with just casual wear for university (it's just a regular university, not ivy league or anything) and for going out to parties with friends, etc. Any help in formal wear such as suits, dress shirts, and coats would be helpful too. Also, I really like the medium-length business casual coats that end little above the knees, but I'm not sure if that would look good on me, any suggestions on this would be helpful as well. As for as budget goes, I should probably be ok, so I'm pretty open...just nothing unbelievably expensive like $300 for one sweater or something lol.

Thanks.

Why are you worried about suits and business clothes if you're in college? Buy some high end jeans instead.

Sorry for bringing this thread back, I haven't had time to reply to my thread till now. I'm aware of the search feature, and finding clothes for winter. However, I'd like to know what would look good on someone of my hieght and build, since somethings would not look good on me. Also, I'm interested in bussiness-casual clothing because I like the simplicity the look offers, and also because I go to a lot of family parties which are generally semi-formal parties.

At your size your most important thing to consider is length and proportion. Wearing clothing that's too long will only make you look shorter, so keep length in mind when buying shirts, sweaters, and coats. You want things that very close to the belt. Your pants shouldn't break too much or stack on your shoes.

I would stay away from longer coats or make sure they actually end just above your knees where they're supposed to.
