Help finding pattern neckties with solid "black border"/trim

Hey all - I'm trying to find a place where I can find retro/modern (pattern-like) ties with that have a solid (few millimeters thick) black trim/border that goes around the entire length of the necktie. Within the trim//frame of the tie now holds whatever pattern. I'm looking for regular length/width -

I tried googling "solid trim" neckties w/ solid black borders but I couldn't find anything... I was at a wedding recently, and I saw someone wearing it... it looked pretty nice - too bad I don't have a picture or company to go with it.

I'd like to pick up a few different styles/patterns/colors that have this solid black trimming all throughout the edges of the tie. Maybe someone here can help me out! Thanks a bunch for your help and direction!

Any ideas? I doubt that it was a custom-made one of a kind...

I can't say I have ever seen a tie like you describe.

I know exactly what you mean. I would probably go back to 1991 and look there. If you cant do that, try going to TC (Houston)'s house for dinner around 3pm, maybe some of his similarly aged friends have some.

Many of the Mila Schon ties that I saw in Como recently had a solid border with the design framed in it. In most cases the border was in one of the colours of the design rather than black, however.

The brand you are looking for is Pancaldi. Couldn't tell you if they make that style currently but they have in the past. You may find some old inventory somewhere if you can find that brand.
