Help Finding a Sports Jacket to Wear With Jeans

Hi guys. I need some help finding a sports jacket to wear with a nice pair of jeans (Seven's, AG's, etc.). I recently purchased a pair of Cole Haan Aleck Slipon's and want a jacket to complete that jeans with a jacket look. Here are the shoes:

Do anybody have any specific jackets in mind? My size is a 39L or 40L. I am open to any suggestions / brands / materials. I just need some guidance. As far as price goes, lets just keep it reasonable. Under $400. Thanks.

Best troll question of the week--brown shoes go well with most any blazer color except black. Black square-toe shoes don't go well with style forums members, but do go well with black blazers.

I was just about to ask who would be the first to take a shot at those shoes; KB wins! Please, please tell you didn't pay anything near full retail for those. I second the suggestion of going with brown rather than black.

For the jacket, you have many options. Corduroy, velvet, mohair, and others come to mind for materials, i.e. just get something that has a different, fun texture than traditional suit jackets. For colours, the world is available to you, just something fun. Your black shoes are quite boring, I really don't like them.

As a general rule, make sure it doesn't look like a suit jacket and everything else goes.

I can exchange the shoes. No biggie. I am just trying to see if I can pull off this jeans look and don't really know where to go with it.

What style of brown shoes should I be looking for? Basically any color jacket except for black should work with the brown shoes?

Maybe I just need someone to say: "Buy these shoes, this jacket and you'll be all set."

Any additional help would be great.

Maybe I'll get beat up too for not being high-end enough, but I saw some nice -- very fitted -- blazers at Sisley. $268 I believe, would look great with jeans. Unless you live near a Sisley you might be out of luck, since they have no online shopping.
