Hello

I am after a website or program (free of course) that I can safely use to snipe some items I wish to win. Can anyone recommend anything?

I've used Gixen quite a few times now, and have never had any problems.

auction sentry deluxe ... not free but it well worth the annual fee (from memory about $25)

a good free one is jbidwatcher (java based so a bit of a memory hog though)

+1 for Auctionsniper.com

Been using it for years. Theoretically you have to pay, but I havent yet. It's not like it costs very much. And it works extremely well.

i use gixen, don't really have any problems with it. anything that puts you inside the final 10 seconds is usually good enough.

i actually do most of my clothing purchases by BIN or negotiations with the seller.

well, i don't know what gixen says they do, but they usually pop in at the 5 second mark.

- just checked one of my wins - Time Ended:Jul-20-08 20:00:00 PDT; Bid Time Jul-20-08 19:59:55 PDT

so yeah, gixen goes in at 5 seconds.

it won't beat a higher sniper, but it's close enough to beat most humans, i think.
