Just bought a 'baby camel hair' jacket by Napoli for Carroll co. I'm still learning menswear so pardon my naivete.

Carroll&Co is a very old school, old Los Angeles menswear store. It was always very "preppy" as seen through LA eyes. Back when I lived on Pasadena, they had a store on Lake St., about 5 minutes from where I lived. Never my bag, but interesting for what it was. They've since dialed everything back to their original Beverly Hills location.

That jacket dates back to the 90s, at very least. I would guess early 90s, or even late 80s, from the typography and the style of that jacket. No idea of it's provenance, there are tons of suit manufacturers in Italy that do specific makes for specific stores.

Many thanks for the response. My dad bought most of his clothes from Carroll & Co up to the '70s. I've read maybe here that Napoli manufactured some of the Isaia (sp?) suits as well as some other high end ones. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part. Wouldn't be the first time.
