Just remember the aim of the conservative business dress look you are going for (or at least, the one most suggestions are pushing you towards) is to fit in, not to stand out.
The essence of being "stylish" is to stand out - to be viewed by others (or yourself) as someone who dresses in a way that looks "a cut above" while being in tune with their personality and appropriate to their environment and routine.
You can't do that by following a dictated list of classic wardrobe staples - blue suit, grey suit, blue blazer, beige trousers, etc.
You do it by finding exactly the right blue suit, grey suit, blazer etc. The one that fits you like a glove (or can be made to), perfectly compliments the other items it is worn with.
I've never met anyone that can do it without a great deal of (usually expensive) trial and error at first. I'm not even saying I've done it myself - certainly I can put together an outfit on occasion that has prompted strangers to stop me in the street or approach me in a social environment and compliment me on my appearance (some of them weren't even sex workers), but I haven't yet developed the innate sense and perfect wardrobe that means I can do it every day, for any occasion , without having to give a great deal of thought to it (as I assume many posters here can). To be honest I doubt I ever will, I don't have the innate immaculate taste or the patience to develop it, and luckily my routine doesn't call for me to be looking dapper every moment of every day (particularly in these current times).
The important thing is to have fun, buy items you love the look and feel of and think about how they compliment the rest of your wardrobe. After you've got your conservative business dress down, you can move onto the real fun, which is learning to dress stylishly for casual and social occasions.
