Questions for Ferragamo Lion shoes:
_91416.jpg

1. Are these shoes from the Tramezza line? How can I tell which line Ferragamo shoes are from?
2. Does the metal clasp go w/ jeans for a casual night out?

Or should I go w/ the AE Walden? (Better quality, but less stylish IMO)

Neither one strikes my fancy; both shoes look quite old-fashioned. For a similar, but substantially cooler look try a pair of monkstraps. I think these look much better:

You could certainly get more fashion-forward designs than this Grenson, but it is just a quick example.

If you still want to hold the AE / Ferragamo debate, both companies produce quite stylish monkstraps. The AE Mora would likely work well with jeans and you would still get AE quality.

Thanks a lot CoryB, the AE Mora looks very stylish

. I think I will go with that one over the Walden.

Few more questions:
1. Is a double monk-strap considered too flashy for traditional companies?
2. I think it would look great w/ jeans, and business casual slacks. Would it work for a suit or should I stick w/ lace-ups?

Thanks!

Just a quick note from the point of comfort. I have a very humble collection: a pair of Church's (english made) oxfords, a pair of Polo RL (italian made) blutchers and a pair of Ferragamo (italian made) loafers. I reach for the Ferragamos every single time because they're so comfortable.

As long as you avoid the 'Studio' line of Ferragamo, then whichever shoe you choose of your liking and in your price range will be of reasonable quality. Enjoy.
