i say authentic. it looks a lot like the Helmut Lang denim jacket i've got which i'm pretty sure is authentic since i purchased it off Yoox.

either way, it's a nice looking jacket. if it fits well, i say who cares.

The tags look real enough. If you're buying it from a reputable seller, I wouldn't worry about it.

thanks, the thing is the person is selling many fakes and mixing it with a few authentic goods(or he/she has really good fakes). i was just being hopeful that this one is authentic.
i don't know how well the tag could be faked and i thought if someone had the same jacket it might be easy to tell.
i think i'll ask for better pictures.

I think that it is real. Helmut Lang isn't really that popular of a brand and is not known by the general population (as opposed to Gucci, LV, Prada, etc.) so I think you are generally safer buying Lang or Jil Sander. Purveyors of fakes generally go for items that are immediately recognizable. Fashionistas and denim fans are about the only people who buy Lang, and the lack of an identifiable logo for Lang makes it less economically feasible to counterfeit.

Of course, that's not to say that there are NO Lang fakes out there, but I think this one looks okay.

NEvertheless, if the seller looks suspicious, I'd hold off buying it. There is no shortage of Lang jean jackets out there to buy (on yoox, ebay, etc.) from reputable sellers at very good prices. I think you could get one for perhaps $75 or thereabouts (maybe less) and be absolutely sure it was real.
