Hellbrand Leatherworks Appreciation Thread

I wanted a CXL belt to go with my Alden for Leather Soul boots, but I couldn't find one that met my specifications. Searching around the web, I found Hellbrand Leatherworks. I contacted Ed (one of the founders) and inquired about a custom CXL belt. After a few emails, I placed my order last Tuesday, April 10th, and received my belt today. It's brown CXL, 1.75" in width with tone on tone stitching and a silver buckle. At $90 shipped, it is a great alternative to the Leffot Elston which sells for $135.

Hellbrand was very receptive to my custom belt needs. Basically, if they can order the leather and hardware, they will make it for you. I have an order in for a Natty CXL belt with white stitching (on back order from Horween) and a red leather belt to match my Allen Edmonds red Neumok. I'm also thinking about a custom wallet. I know this isn't for everyone, but if you want the flexibility to order custom leather then Hellbrand is worth checking out.

yeah ill probably try out the cordovan bracelet and then if thats good, ill grab the nato watch strap. much more affordable nato strap in comparison to some other cordovan straps ive seen on the market

gotta say that this dude responds his emails super quick ... great customer service

i have a shell cordovan black and natural bracelet on the way with a dopp kit eventually down the line once he gets a refresh in natural chromexcel

ill post pics once i get the products and review the items but must say its nice to see fast customer service... also his prices for shell and chromexcel pieces are EASILY cheaper than most competitors like kenton sorenson

ive ordered from corter leather before, love the products but customer serviec and speed were "meh"

I checked it out and ordered a natural NATO strap. If all goes well I think I will get another in colour 8 and maybe a custom belt. Thanks for the heads up Phi.

I've been drooling over their website all weekend now. I need a couple of new belts, watch straps, card case, that iPhone case is amazing and that dopp kit is killer. What color is that belt you've posted above?

Also, it seems like they only use cordovan. Is that right, or am I just confused? Either way, its great looking stuff.

some products are cordovan, some are chromexcel and some are natural vegetable tanned ... all depends on the item

i emailed them and it seems that most items can be made in the other materials/colors but its all based on the availability of the leathers so you may have to wait a while if your focused on a particular item

The belt is Brown CXL. I'm waiting for a Natty CXL belt (the leather is not available right now). Hellbrand is also trying to match the leather on my Red AE Neumok. Yes, it could be a while, but I'd rather wait and get exactly what I want.

So I received my strap today and I am pretty happy with the result. I only have a cell phone to take pics as my actual camera is packed away right now but I will let you judge. I e-mailed Ed about making another in colour 8 and a matching belt.
