I'd like to see a Bontoni x Dinklaker collab. I'd love me some "BonDinkies" :nodding:

Ed, I totally take back what I said in the Vass thread about not liking your boots! I'm stil not overly keen on padded ankles, but with those out of sight, these boots look stunning on your feet.

Re. the triple sole debate, I would totally wear those bad boys with a suit, especially that gorgeous oxblood shell that Vraivio shared: I'm a big fat 250lb lump, and frankly I think I could carry those chunky feckers with a grey pinstripe, no trouble at all.

My problem is that I now have yet another pair of shoes haunting me at night like a big-assed woman. I will have to have them sooner or later...

I have a pair that I bought five years ago and it is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have. Has been from day one too.

    Leather is super!

Are you speaking to the double sole or tripple sole.

How do these compare to a regular Alden LWB? Aren't these just a tad blocky looking?

The Buda last (double sole) is "sleeker" than the Alden Barrie. The Rio last (Triple sole) is similar to the Barrie except for the triple sole, which adds .5cm to the sole. My oldest pair of Dinkelacker are about 3 years old and, for me, they are a much better, more comfortable yet form fitting shoe compared to the Alden, while being at another level construction wise.

Ed, quick questuion re size availability: do they only go up to 10, or did I miss something on your site? Any choice in width, or is it standard D?

I only have them up to 10 for now, they go all the way up.. Width is really more of a British "F", which is a smidge bigger than our normal D. But I would go so much by that. An Alden D is different than a Ralph Lauren D. They have a G width which I may or may not regularly carry but its available.
