1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

They still look nice, just wonder how they actually wear?

They would have to be rather stiff.

But then again you may never ever have to get them re-soled.

Great thread. Are these shoes constructed to the same standard as Vass? Handmade, no gemming?

    yes.

By the way, the double sole shoes (second pic in Namor's post, thanks for starting this threak :) ), have a 1 cm thick sole, the same thickness as my EG Dovers and probably the same as Alden or any other double sole shoes. The triple sole shoes, the thickness of the sole is less than 1.5cm, so an extra .5 cm from shoes that a lot of you are wearing already. Obviously I am biased but these shoes wear a lot better than they photograph, the opposite of a lot of shoes that photograph great but wear not so great.

    These are the boots:

I like the shoes, but a triple sole?, that is ridiculous IMO,

I'd like to see a Bontoni x Dinklaker collab. I'd love me some "BonDinkies" :nodding:

Ed, I totally take back what I said in the Vass thread about not liking your boots! I'm stil not overly keen on padded ankles, but with those out of sight, these boots look stunning on your feet.

Re. the triple sole debate, I would totally wear those bad boys with a suit, especially that gorgeous oxblood shell that Vraivio shared: I'm a big fat 250lb lump, and frankly I think I could carry those chunky feckers with a grey pinstripe, no trouble at all.

My problem is that I now have yet another pair of shoes haunting me at night like a big-assed woman. I will have to have them sooner or later...

I have a pair that I bought five years ago and it is the most comfortable pair of shoes I have. Has been from day one too.

    Leather is super!
